Management and Program Assistant
What will you be doing?
As a Management and Program Assistant, you will support the management team and various Founded in the North programs with organizational, administrative, and facility-related tasks. You will provide structure, maintain oversight, ensure the smooth running of daily operations, and serve as a key support pillar within the team.
You will support the management team, as well as the Entrepreneur Mentoring Service (EMS) program and the BeStart program with the planning, organization, and administration of program components. In this role, you will be in close contact with entrepreneurs, mentors, and partners, giving you a front-row seat to how entrepreneurs work on their growth and development. You will ensure that everything surrounding these two programs is tightly organized, allowing participants to focus entirely on their next steps.
In addition, you will contribute to a pleasant, organized, and efficient work environment. You work in a structured manner, think ahead, and know how to set priorities in a dynamic environment.
Founded in the North
Founded in the North is a collaboration between Northern Dutch knowledge institutions, the business community, provinces, and municipalities aimed at strengthening the northern startup ecosystem. Numerous initiatives are flourishing within the vibrant startup and scale-up ecosystem of Northern the Netherlands. It is therefore our mission to make Northern the Netherlands the place where startups and scale-ups work on the global challenges of today and the future.
Founded in the North is committed to strengthening the northern startup ecosystem through a founder-focused and data-driven approach. We organize a support network around the crucial life stages and milestones on the path to growth for startups. We draw on rich experience, existing initiatives, and (inter)national best practices to cultivate a thriving startup community.
Tasks and responsibilities
- You will assist in planning and organizing appointments, meetings, and internal events;
- You will support the operational organization of programs such as EMS and BeStart, including planning, administration, and coordination in collaboration with the program managers.
- You will contribute to pleasant and efficient collaboration within the team;
- You coordinate general office matters such as inventory management, catering, maintenance, and office equipment;
- You ensure a tidy, organized, and professional work environment;
- You organize lunches, team outings, gifts, and tokens of appreciation for special occasions.

- A 24-hour work week;
- Competitive salary based on education and experience, between 2,800 and 3,200 euros gross per month based on full-time employment
- 13th-month pay and holiday allowance;

- A laptop and a phone, or a stipend for using your own devices;

You:

- you have experience in a support or coordination role (e.g., office manager or program coordinator)
- you are proficient in Dutch and English;
- you are digitally savvy and familiar with tools such as Microsoft Office 365
- you have an affinity for startups, mentoring, and/or entrepreneurship programs
- you believe in the power of collaboration and enjoy contributing to the development of companies in the Northern Netherlands
