Ecosystem Insights - Session
The Ecosystem Insights Session is the time to jointly reflect on the current state of the northern startup and scale-up ecosystem. We look back on the results of the past year and jointly formulate the priorities for the coming period. With insights from experts from other regions and current data from the Northern Netherlands Ecosystem Dashboard, you get inspiration and concrete tools to further build our ecosystem. The session takes place prior to Tech Drinks: Innovate Together: a regional networking event with innovators, entrepreneurs, students and policy makers from across the North.
Purpose of the meeting
• Sharing knowledge and lessons from other ecosystems
• Provide insight into the latest results and movements within the Northern Netherlands.
• Together, determine where the biggest opportunities and challenges lie.
• Strengthening cooperation between entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions, investors and governments.

Reception at the Chancellery with coffee and tea.
14:45 — Start program
• Welcome & kick-off by Robbert de Groot.
• Guest speaker Dr. Jip Leendertse (TU Delft): lessons learned from Delft and indicators for strong ecosystems.
• Update by Bertwin Kampman: results and movements within the northern innovation ecosystem.
• Presentation of the latest figures from the Founded Ecosystem Dashboard Northern Netherlands.
• Joint prioritization: where are the opportunities and who takes which role?
16:30 — Completion

The meeting is intended for:
• Policy makers who guide the development of the ecosystem
• Partners from education, business and investment funds.
• People who are actively building the innovation ecosystem in the Northern Netherlands
About Dr. Jip Leendertse (TU Delft)
Jip Leendertse is a postdoctoral researcher in sustainable entrepreneurship at TU Delft, connected to BK-Launch, the platform that stimulates entrepreneurship. He studies the role of start-ups and scale-ups in the built environment, with special attention to cooperation between public clients, knowledge institutions and entrepreneurs. From his previous work, he developed measurement tools to analyse the quality of entrepreneurship ecosystems in Europe and has in-depth knowledge of the building blocks and pitfalls in setting up strong innovation ecosystems.
